The word 'yoga' means 'to unite'. Practicing yoga is one of self-transformation with
oneself through the practices of asanas, pranayama, meditation, relaxation and
through our daily life. Having inner awareness helps join the body, mind and
soul as one.

class you will be taken through a relaxing sequence of yoga movements designed
to stimulate blood flow, invigorate the body, stretch tight muscles, and relax
the mind.

of stretching, breath awareness and control, and meditation, this session will

What is Hatha yoga?
Hatha yoga
is a system of physical and mental exercises developed in ancient times as a
means of preparing the body and mind for meditation.
In Sanskrit
the word Hatha means sun and moon. "Ha" meaning sun and "tha" meaning moon.
Hatha yoga is commonly translated as the Yoga that brings union.
The main
component of Hatha yoga is yoga postures, or, in Sanskrit, asanas. The word
asana
means
comfortable, stable pose.
